Complex/ Palliative

At Healthvision we have developed a team experienced in managing continuing care.

Whether the need for continuing care is due to complex health needs or to palliative care needs Healthvision has the expertise to deliver a service with understanding and sensitivity in circumstances which may be a challenge both to the client and to their family and friends.

Our Palliative care work receives positive feedback from families and Social Workers for the empathetic delivery of our care and the sensitive work of our staff.

We have a dedicated team, trained specifically in palliative care and managed by our Registered Manager.  Our hands on approach provides the necessary support and guidance to all those involved with the client at this point in their life.

Healthvision works regularly with both Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea Primary Care Trusts.  These authorities continue to refer complex care packages with high support needs to Healthvision because of our record of attention to detail.

We also work with a number of hospices in the local boroughs providing support to the palliative care nursing teams, so that clients who have decided to remain in their own homes at the end of their lives are able to have their needs met by a team of familiar carers.

All our staff are trained in the person-centred model of care which encourages them to recognise the individuality of the client through to the end of their life.  The importance of maintaining the dignity and respecting the choices of the client including in the minutes after their death is emphasised in our palliative care training.

As a management team we offer guidance to staff who may find palliative care an emotional challenge. We have found this to be a positive influence which has enabled our staff to support clients who may be nearing the end of their lives with confidence and compassion.
